A Canine Connection This presentation by Kristin Hartness, Executive Director of Canines for Disabled Kids, will provide a full understanding of service dogs to individuals who might use one and to people who might interact with people who use them – in short – everyone. It will include an explanation of what a service dog is and is not, the laws defining service dogs, the responsibilities of the communities and of the individuals, how service dogs are produced and where to find the right resources for access questions and how to obtain a service dog. Kristin herself is a disabled woman, diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1993; she has been a service dog partner since April 2001, and is currently partnered with her 3rd service dog, Asha, a 10 year old smooth coat collie.  The Gardner Museum, Inc. – Events (gardnermuseuminc.com)
