“My Parents had Colby for 13 years. She was often referred to as “Princess Colby” and as you can probably guess she was quite spoiled. When my father was diagnosed with lung cancer, she never left his side. I truly believe that without her there’s no way he could have done the rehab from his surgery and treatments as well as he did. Not only did she lift his spirits, but she got him up and moving!

They often took her to visit friends who were also recovering from health issues and we always said she would make a great therapy dog. Colby was there to help my mother get through the loss of my father with her comfort and companionship. I couldn’t think of a better way to honor her memory than with such a wonderful organization like “Canines For Disabled Kids”.
